It was founded in 2001 by friends Mariusz Duda, Piotr Grudzinski, Piotr Kozieradzki and Jacek Melnicki, who shared a love for progressive rock and heavy metal. Riverside can be described as a stylistic blend of atmospheric rock and metal elements Is it possible for Riverside to follow up on that fabulous debut album, Out of Myself from 2004? My answer is yes! Although with darker textures and somewhat heavier passages, than on the aforementioned, this new album called Second Life Syndrome really has many fine prog tunes and moments to enjoy. 9.0/10 for me - 'Volte-Face' and 'Second Life Syndrome' are the standout songs. 'I Turned You Down' and 'Before' are the weaker songs on this album.
